Medal of the Order of the Lion of Finland,
awarded to personalities who contributed to the success of the Xv Olympiad. Spectacular 2nd class Cross of Merit (white enamel), with the Olympic rings, in silver gilt, like the lion (bottom), and the bowl (top) acting as a bezel to highlight the blue silk ribbon with the five vertical white stripes (3 central, 2 lateral). This two-sided piece features a new gilded lion on the reverse, as well as the famous Olympic year "1952" (hallmarks in the bowl hearth). A rare, impressive and symbolic piece.
