"NEWS FROM THE ARMY; extract from the Moniteur du 10 Novembre 1813" - PLACARD (36 x 23), Printed in MARSEILLE (Bouches-du-Rhône), at MOSSY, rue d'Aubagne, N°45: "H.M. the Imperial Queen and Regent received the following news of the situation of the army on 7 November: The Duke of Taranto was in Cologne, where he is organizing an army for the defence of the Bas-Rhin. The Duke of Ragusa was in Mainz. The Duke of Bellune was in Strasbourg. The Duke of Valmy had gone to Metz to take command of all the reserves. Count Bertrand, with the 4th Corps... 40,000 strong, occupied the right bank in front of Cassel... All the rest of the army had crossed the Rhine. S.M. had signed, on the 7th, the reorganization of the Army... General Dulauloy had reorganized the 200 fire hydrants of the Guard. General Sorbier was busy reorganizing 100 batteries on foot and on horseback... of November 10: H.M. the Emperor arrived on the 9th, in SAINT CLOUD. H.M. left MAYENCE on the 8th, at 1:00 a.m."
