Royalist poster to counter Napoleon who landed on March 1st 1815 and arrived in Paris on March 20th 1815: "The National Guard of Marseille, gathered under the orders of its leaders, permeated with devotion, love and gratitude for the King, and justly indignant at the audacious undertaking of an outcast who has abdicated France and whom France has banished from her bosom, is urgently requesting permission to march and fight in such numbers as we want; It places itself at the disposal of Mr. de Gavotty, the King's Commander in Chief of the National Guard, and of his troops. It places itself at the disposal of the Governor and the Prefect. It asks that from tomorrow a strong detachment, chosen from among its brave members, be set in motion, and it begs the Prefect to make his determination known to the King, to all the Communes and to all the neighbouring Departments." - Royal Vignette - Printed in MARSEILLE, by François BREBION, the King's Printer, on the Cours, N°4.
