REVOLUTION. 1791. CORRÈZE. HAUTE-VIENNE. "Law on the means to complete the defense of the borders. (in the North of France)" Given in Paris on July 9, 1791. N°712. "2°) The number of National Guards set in motion by the Decree of the 25th of last month, will be increased to 18,000 men, including 8,000 men on the Somme, & 10,000 for the defense of the borders of the Ardennes, Meuse & Moselle." 3°) In addition, there will be 8000 men of National Guards in the Departments of the Rhine, who will be provided in the Departments of the Doubs, Jura, Haute-Saône, Vosges, Haut and Bas-Rhin..."
