GARD. 1803. "CURRENCY EXCHANGE". Order of J. B. DUBOIS Prefect of the Department of GARD, of 20 Fructidor Year 11 (7 Sept 1803) on the Exchange of Currencies - "Having regard to the Order of the Government, dated 6 of this month, stating: that the 3 pound ecus and the coins of 24 sous, 12 sous and 6 sous, which have not kept any trace of their imprint, have lost, under the terms of the old laws, their character of currency, and that they will be received at the exchange of the Mint, according to the tariff determined by this Order...".
