Duff Cooper /Vilmorin Louise de OPERATION COEUR BRISE - Original edition and one of the 35 copies on pure thread vellum (on sale number 19). Published in Paris, Chez La Palatine, in 1951. Covered with a brocaded cover. Well preserved copy: small rubbing used on the headdresses. Fresh interior with slight freckles. Alfred Duff Cooper (London, 22 February 1890 - Vigo, 1 January 1954), 1st Viscount Norwich, was a British politician of the Conservative Party who was ambassador to Paris and a figure of European high society at the time. He wrote six books, including an autobiography (Old Men Forget), a biography of Talleyrand and a novel (Operation Heartbreak, 1950).
