One of the very rare copies reported by Vicaire containing an appendix of 2 pages (certificate of Doctor Morand on the health of Sophie Arnould). Vicaire reports only 30 copies on ordinary paper (including this one) and 10 copies on laid paper for the first edition of this biography by the Goncourt brothers of the actress and singer Madeleine-Sophie Arnould (1740-1802). Witty (her bon mots were collected under the title "d'Arnoldiana"), she had many acquaintances among whom Brancas, duc de Lauragais, Barras, Madame de Villeroy, etc. Vicaire, III, 1032 The portrait is missing.
