NORTH. 1702. PROCESSION in the city of LILLE on June 17, 1702. "We Reward, Mayor, Aldermen, Council, and Eight men of the City of LILLE, wanting that the solemn Procession of this city is not interrupted, that the beautiful order is observed there, & to make that it does not arrive any inconvenience: We have forbidden & forbid all to give or present any drinks... The trades will march precisely at 8 o'clock in the morning, and the brotherhoods in the same way. We order that the torches of the Tradesmen... will continue their march in order until beyond the Ganthois Hospital... More we prohibited to blow, draw or throw some balls or other things after those of the Procession... The Confreres of the Brotherhood of Our Lady of the Treille will carry... to the exclusion of all others, the Hunt of the Holy Virgin of the Collegiate Church of Saint Pierre...".
