BRIEFING OF GRACE signed with the claw of King LOUIS XVIII, countersigned by PASQUIER, Keeper of the Seals, given at the Tuileries Castle, on August 25, 1817 for Pierre NAUDÉ, condemned by the Court of Assize of MOSELLE, to 5 years of imprisonment and to the scourging for the crime of forgery. He is detained in METZ. Vellum (44 x 57 cm) with engraved header. Étienne Denis PASQUIER (1767-1862), was Keeper of the Seals under Louis XVIII then Chancellor of France under Louis Philippe.
