Rugby. Scotland. Jauréguy. Jean Prat. Galland. Ordner. Set o - Lot 528
Rugby. Scotland. Jauréguy. Jean Prat. Galland. Ordner. Set of five pieces on France-Scotland: a) A canvas colour (38x28) of the "Petit Journal Illustré" of 15. 1. 1922. In Colombes, this France-Scotland match from the palette of André Galland (1886-1965) shows us an Adolphe Jauréguy, who resists the plating of two Scots, and will score the try for the whites, the one of the draw (3-3). Deserves a framing. b) A colour from "L'Equipe Junior" of 17. 1. 1952, saluting the French exploit at Murrayfield (11-13). A masterpiece by Paul Ordner (1901-1969) sketching Jean Prat running in for a try when his brother Maurice opens the door (38x28); c) original silver photo (15x20) from 24. 1. 1925, despite Bioussa from Toulouse and Dupont 1 from Rouen, France will be beaten in Edinburgh (25-4); d) "Comptoir des Sports" publicity photo for Scotland-France in 1931, despite a drop-goal from Servole, France will be beaten (6-4). Note the flatness of the touchline (bottom right corner broken); d) poetic photo card from Lyon around the match won in 1930. A.Gonnet from Lyon, uses the names of all the protagonists to celebrate the victorious roosters, and the great leaders Muhr, and Rutherford.
