Autograph letter signed, 1 p in-4, from the Hôtel St-Georges in Algiers, April 26, 1936: He wants to express to his correspondent how grateful he is for his welcome and for this "charming walk in Sidi Ferruch", "thanks to you, I have at least seen something of the surroundings of Algiers. He did not fail to thank Julien Monod for having put him in touch with him [Paul Valéry had landed on 21 April 1936 in Algiers, to give a lecture and take part in a meeting with Algerian writers.
