COUPLE OF FASHION DOLLS "PARISIENNE" END OF THE 19th CENTURY (2) RARE IN THIS CONDITION Couple of married JUMEAU & BARROIS 2 fashion dolls called "Parisian" from the end of the 19th century (circa 1880). Bride signed on the back in blue "JUMEAU Médaille d'Or Paris", so later than the Paris Exhibition of 1878, where Emile Jumeau had won a gold medal for his dolls and babies. Presented on a wooden base and metal belt. Size 34 cm. Rich period clothing: wedding dress with flounces and lace with train and veil held by a crown of flowers. Bisque swivel head, closed mouth, very beautiful fixed blue eyes with rays, pierced ears (without earrings), semi-articulated body in skin with separated fingers (oxidation at the ends). Groom made by Eugène BARROIS. Size 34 cm (39 cm with ribbon top hat). Swivel head in biscuit, closed mouth, fixed glass eyes, articulated body in skin, separated fingers (blackened). Black wool frock coat costume, pleated shirt with pearl buttons, bouquet at the buttonhole, black top hat, black shoes with silk laces and leather soles. Presented on a wood/metal stand.
