GARD. 1796. "Proclamation of Hilarion PUGET, Divisional General commanding the 9th Military Division, to the young Men of the Requisition, & to the Volunteers who have not joined their Battalions." "An Order of the Commissioner of the Government FRÉRON, bears: From the 25th Pluviôse (Year 4, February 14, 1796) the Military Commanders will have their parents represent the certificates of the Volunteers or Young Men of the Requisition, which attest their arrival at their Battalions; failing which, they will garrison the said Parents more or less considerably." "At the head of the public force of this Department, I will be charged with this decree.
