Jean Louis DUGAS DE BEAULIEU Lawyer and Archaeologist, studies Lorraine. (NANCY (54) 1788 - Paris 1862). 2 Autograph letters signed from NANCY (54), in-4°, to a Dear Brother : NANCY 20 Nov. 1823. "I have the honour of sending you a dissertation on a Roman camp situated near NANCY, of which there has been no mention until now, although it is one of the best preserved in all France. If the (Archaeological) Society should think it proper to insert it in its memoirs..." + NANCY, 17 Sept. 1824. "... My journey, Sir, was not in vain, I visited Mount Africa near Dijon and I must rectify some irregularities which are to be found in the memoir which I have the honour of sending you on our Camp of Africa near NANCY... I intend to go shortly to visit a Roman Castellum which is in our vicinity, as well as some ancient tombs. If it is worthwhile, I will have the honor of sharing my observations with the Society..."
