"Sir, My departure for England is fixed for Friday 3 December, and if it would be possible for you to give me an idea, if my proposal of FREE TRADE for 25 Millions of value in English and French goods will be accepted by the Minister of Finance or not.". He asks him not to delay in saying two words to Mr. LAFFITTE who knows him personally. If this proposal seems worthy of acceptance.
