Victor CONSIDERANT, French philosopher. (Salins (Jura) 1808 - Paris 1893) Disciple of Fourier, he defined the notion of the right to work which became one of the main ideas of the French Socialists in 1848. He joined the 1st International (1871) and participated in the Commune. Autograph Letter Signed, PARIS 11 June 1844, 2pp in-8°, to M. DIDIER rue St Lazare 55 - "Sir, I am sorry I was not present at the office when you came yesterday. CANTAGNEL has affectively left Paris for a dozen days. If it would be convenient for you to come tomorrow Wednesday at noon to the Office.
