CANADA - Sir Sandford FLEMMING (1827-1915), Canadian engineer and inventor, he designed the first Canadian stamp and actively participated in the development of the Canadian Railway network; it was he who first proposed in 1879 to divide the World into 24 time zones: Partly printed piece signed and dated by his hand, 1 p in-8 oblong, October 21, 1890 - Sir Sandford Flemming hereby subscribes for ten piastres "to assist in the publication of the Discourses of Sir George Etienne Cartier by M.
