Pierre-Cardin LEBRET, Lord of Flacourt, Intendant in Provence, forbids all persons of whatever quality and condition to play the game of Bassette, under penalty of a fine of three thousand pounds; "which causes disorder in the families...". - Vignette and Lettrine. Piece with autograph signature of the Intendant "LEBRET". Done in AIX (13), on December 30, 1692.
