Program of the NATIONAL FESTIVAL of August 15, 1855 in PARIS with large vignette with laurels framing Napoleon 1st Emperor and postmark "...On August 15 at six o'clock in the morning, artillery salvos fired by the cannon of the Invalides will announce the solemnity of the day... At one o'clock, free performances will be given at the Imperial Theaters of the Opera, of the French, of the Opéra-Comique and of the Odéon, ... of the Palais Royal, ... at the Imperial Theater of the Circus, at the Circuses of the Emperor and of the Empress... public rejoicings will take place at the esplanade of the Invalides and at the barrier of the Throne. There will be on each of these places a fair...a big balloon will be removed at five o'clock. At night, these two places will be illuminated as well as the Arc de Triomphe. On the occasion of the Emperor's feast day, many graces have been granted...
