Could you, Madam Princess, obtain from one of the Ministers of his Majesty with whom you would be in relation, in particular Mr. Ancillon or Mr. Count de Witzleben Minister of War, that he presents to his Majesty some of my works (on Prussia)... and that he asks the King (of Prussia) for a decoration... The Gold Medal that His Majesty the King of Prussia deigned to confer on me in 1823 is the medal of civil merit, for the encouragement of Sciences and Arts, but I would like to obtain a cross... I published several works which concern especially Prussia, in particular 1° A relation to the siege of Dantzig in 1807; 2° A Relation to the Siege of Mézières in 1815; 3° An Epistle to Mr. General Baron de HAKE, Minister of the War in Berlin 4° Souvenirs historiques et anecdotiques sur la Champagne, dedicated to Madame de GENLIS, Second Edition." - 3 pp in-4°.
