VICTORY OF SEBASTOPOL September 10, 1855. "News from CRIMÉE. Telegraphic dispatch from General PÉLISSIER, Crimea September 10, 1855, 11 o'clock in the evening "I have today traversed SEBASTOPOL and its lines of defense. The thought cannot form an exact picture of our Victory, of which inspection alone can give the full extent. The multiplicity of the defense works and the material means which were applied to it exceed much that had been seen in the history of the wars. The capture of MALAKOFF, which forced the enemy to flee before our already three times victorious eagles, put, in the hands of the allies, an immense material and establishments... Tomorrow, the allied troops will occupy KARABELNAYA and the city... The joy of our soldiers is great, and, it is with the cry of "Long live the Emperor!" that, in their camp, they celebrate the Victory. - Vignette with the lightning Imperial Eagle - Impr.
