BIRTH OF THE KING OF ROME, L'AIGLON, March 20, 1811. Autograph letter signed "Count DEJEAN", Paris June 25, 1811, to Count de MONTESQUIOU, Grand Chamberlain. "Mister Count. I received the Gold Medal struck on the occasion of the birth of the King of Rome that your Excellency did me the honor to send me according to the orders of His Majesty the Emperor (Napoleon 1st), I beg your Excellency to accept my thanks... ". Jean François Aimé DEJEAN (Castelnaudary/ Aude 1749 - Paris 1824) Was a General in 1794, Minister of War in 1810, Count of the Empire in 1808. Senator, Grand Treasurer of the Legion of Honor. Attached : 2 printed books in-8° : Historical notice on the late Count DEJEAN, pronounced at the eastern cemetery on May 14, 1824, by Baron HAXO, Lieutenant-General of the Royal Corps of Engineers. Impr. De Fain, 4 rue Racine, 1824 + Speech delivered at the Chambre des Paires on April 18, 1845 by M. le Comte Philippe de SÉGUR, on the occasion of the death of M. le Comte DEJEAN."
