Charles PERCIER, Architect and Decorator (Paris 1764-1838). He was in charge of the development of the Château de LA MALMAISON (92) for the First Consul. From then on, Bonaparte's protection was assured to him and he had a great part in the architectural works carried out under the Empire: Triumphal Arch of the Carrousel, numerous works in the Tuileries and in the Louvre. Autograph letter signed "Charles Percier", June 26, 1835, addressed to Mr de BOUVATIER. 1p in-4°. On the request of his colleague Mr HERSANT, "one of the most skilful painters", he wishes to intervene in favor of the young TRANCHAND, whose mother is asking for a half scholarship to the Rollin College.
