MILITARY DECORATION, NATIONAL GUARD OF PARIS, May 3, 1816. Beautiful Patent, in the name of King Louis XVIII, and on the Heading of "Charles-Philippe de France, MONSIEUR, Comte d'ARTOIS (Future Charles X) Colonel General of the National Guards of the Kingdom", which grants to Mr. Jean Victor HÉMARD, mercier, born in St GANDAN (Haute-Vienne) in 1709, Corporal, the authorization to wear the decoration granted to the National Guard by the Order of the King of February 5, 1816, consisting of a silver Star, enamelled in white and blue, bearing on one side the effigy of His Majesty Louis XVIII King of France and for exergue these words "Fidelity, Devotion... " - Signs of CHARLES-PHILIPPE and Marshal OUDINOT. Patent (40 x 50 cm) framed under glass.
