CARCAN FLÉTRISSURE: Decree of the Court of Customs, sitting in AIX (Bouches-du-Rhône) on June 17, 1813 which condemns a Weaver and Peddler native of Tarn and residing in Hérault, accused of the CRIME OF CONTRABAND and prohibited goods and commodities (importation of sugars), to the penalty of forced labor, to the exposure to the carcan and to the mark of the letters V.DD.
