NASA. A very long solar filament snaking around the Sun erupted brightly on December 6, 2010. Filaments, elongated clouds of cold gas suspended above the Sun by magnetic forces, are rather unstable and often break away from the Sun.Vintage chromogenic print. Legend on the back label. 20,4 X 25,4CM with margins.
