GOLDEN FLESH - TRISMOSIN (Salomon): The Golden Fleece or the - Lot 285
GOLDEN FLESH - TRISMOSIN (Salomon): The Golden Fleece or the flower of treasures, in which is succinctly and methodically treated of the stone of the philosophers, of its excellence, effects and admirable virtues, more of its origin ert of the true means to be able to reach its perfection. A volume in-12 marbled calf, smooth spine decorated. This volume seems to be the complete handwritten copy, probably made at the beginning of the 18th century, of the first French edition published by Charles Sevestre in 1612. Rare and precious manuscript. Following this, we find the complete copy of a second work published by the same publisher in 1613: Le Miroir d'alchymie de Jean de Mehun, a very excellent philosopher, translated from Latin into French. Both manuscripts are complete and of a neat handwriting perfectly readable.
