CHAMPAGNE - Pauline HEIDSIECK (1807-1857, widow of Christian Heidsieck, she continued the business under the name of "Veuve Heidsieck", in 1838, she remarried to Henri-Guillaume Piper) / Bill of exchange of 20,000 francs drawn by the merchant Joseph H. and Co of New York on December 30, 1835 in favor of the Veuve Heidsieck via the Rothschild Frères Bank in Paris (note that 13 days earlier, the Stock Exchange and the Wall Street district had been completely destroyed by a terrible fire)
