NASA. LARGE FORMAT. Gemini IV mission. Historic photograph. Astronaut Edward H. White II, pilot of the Gemini-Titan 4 space flight, floats weightlessly in space. White is tethered to the spacecraft by a 7.5-meter umbilical line and a 7-meter tether line, both wrapped with gold tape to form a single rope. In his right hand, White carries a hand-held homing unit (HHSMU). His helmet visor is gold-plated to protect him from the sun's unfiltered rays. The photo was taken on June 3, 1965.later chromogenic print. Numbering on the front. Caption on back label. 40,6 x 40,6CM with margins.
