Olympic Games/Intwerp, summer 1920. Statuette reward in gilded bronze for the only winners: "Victory". This Victory full of movement, with the winner and his laurel wreath is signed by the great Léandre Grandmoulin (1873-1957), second Grand Prix de Rome, friend of his illustrious colleagues Meunier and Rombaux, after having been the student of Van der Strappen. On the bronze base beautiful signature L.Grandmoulin, and title "Victory". With its circular marble plinth, and its base with the famous golden plaque "VII Olympiad, Antwerp 1920" (7,5cm), this strong work goes well with the Olympic rebirth that symbolize these difficult first Games of the post First World War.
