View of astronaut Bruce McCandless II floating alone in the vacuum of space during an extravehicular activity (EVA) taken from inside the rear flight deck. McCandless uses his hands to control his movements in space while using the nitrogen-powered maneuvering unit (MMU). McCandless floats without tethers that connect him to the shuttle. McCandless gets so close to the shuttle that the reflection of the shuttle in McCandless' helmet is visible. February 7, 1984. Numbering in the margin on the front.
