Absolute discharge for infirmities, made in CAPE FRENCH on September 18, 1790, to the named Michel DAUBAN said DAUBAN Fusilier in the Regiment of CAPE INFANTERIE, which was judged out of state to serve in the Troops of His Majesty, being attacked of diarrhoea and spits following a venereal disease. Piece signed by the Count of PEINIER (or PEYNIER, Chief of Wing of the Naval Armies, Governor and Lieutenant General of the French Islands of America, of the Baron of CAMBEFORT commanding the Regiment... Engraved document filled in ink. Some flaws and wear - Antoine THOMASSIN, Count of PEYNIER (1731-1809), Colonial Administrator, participated in the American War. He received the Order of Cincinnatus from George Washington.
