CARNAUD (Jean) 1781-1861. Méthode pour le flageolet sans clef à une, à deux, à trois, à quatre, à cinq et à six clefs...Paris, Richault, no date. In-4 contemporary half-basane, spine smoothly decorated (headbands rubbed, corners and spines worn, light freckles and stains, stamp on the title). First edition. Carnaud's method is one of the best known methods in the first half of the 19th century for learning the flageolet, along with those of Bonnisseau, Collinet, Kastner and Roy. It is not dated but can be placed in the years 1830-39 because it is quoted in the Encyclopédie des Gens du Monde published in 1839.
