Paris, chez Martinon, 1844, 2nd edition, very increased in text and unpublished vignette on steel, green half-chagrin, title and year, fleuron in gilded boxes on spine, green and yellow "pebble" paper boards, period binding, gilded headband, IV - XXII - (4) -609 - (1) pp., illustrated with 14 portraits out of text, 9 engravings "de genre" out of text (2 different engravings on the same page) and 10 engravings in-text, well conforming to the description of Vicaire 177/178, EX-LIBRIS of Henri de Kisielnicki, sold by the Parisian bookshop Rouquette. This volume contains gastronomic texts of eminent gastronomes such as Brillat-Savarin, Berchoux, Grimod de la Reynière, Colnet, de Cussy, Careme and many others. Indispensable to know the kitchen in the 19th century. Some light spotting, dull corners, and the usual brown spots; good condition.
