Dorothée de COURLANDE, widow TALLEYRAND. Dorothée von Biron, Princess of Courland (1793-1862), Countess of Perigord, Duchess of Dino, Duchess of Talleyrand (1838) and Duchess of Sagan, was a German princess famous throughout Europe for her beauty and intelligence. She was the daughter of Pierre von Biron, Sovereign Duke of Courland and Dorothea von Medem. She married on April 21, 1809 Alexandre Edmond de Talleyrand-Périgord, 2nd Duke of Dino, French General of the Revolution and the Empire. She was Talleyrand's companion - Letter A.S. Written in Vienna on November 22, 1843. News letter addressed to a man: "... your representations so well motivated cannot fail to make an impression, and I am flattered to find you again in Italy. For this year, I am obliged to stay in Germany; I have been there for 6 months on family business which after a long stay in Prussia... I will return to Berlin for a few weeks... ". 3 pages in-8°.
