Élise THIERS, wife of the President of the French Republic. Eulalie Élise Dosne (1818-1880) was the daughter of Alexis Dosne, stockbroker, Receiver General of Finances of Finistère and Regent of the Bank of France, and of Eurydice Matheron (1794-1869). She had a sister Félicie (1823-1906). In 1833, she married Marie Louis Joseph Adolphe Thiers, future President of the Republic. Adolphe Thiers will maintain a relationship with Eurydice Dosne then with Félicie while he was married to Elise - 3 Letters A.S. by Madame Élise THIERS, and lot of 9 Letters from her sister Félicie DOSNE and their mother Eurydice (calling herself Sophie) between 1844 and 1880 + 2 autograph Letters, addressed to Mrs. DOSNE.
