Charlotte VANHOVE, Mme TALMA, French actress (1771-1860) known as Caroline is the daughter of the actors Charles Joseph Vanhove and Andrée Coche. She was a member of the Comédie française. During the Revolution, she was arrested as a suspect, remaining loyal to the monarchy, and incarcerated in the prison Sainte-Pélagie, for having played a theatrical representation considered seditious: Paméla. She was released 5 months later. In 1798 she married François Joseph Talma, one of the most famous actors of his time, a great tragedian. In 1826, after his death, she married the Count of Chalot - Letter A.S. Written in Paris on January 29 (around 1850) at 21 rue Joubert addressed to Mr. Ouvrard.
