Clotilde of SAXE-COBOURG GOTHA. Marie Adélaïde Amélie Clotilde de Saxe-Cobourg-Gotha (1846-1927), Princess of Saxony, then by her marriage, Princess Palatine of Hungary. Clotilde of Saxe-Coburg-Kohary was the eldest daughter of Prince Auguste of Saxe-Coburg-Kohary and the French Princess Clémentine of Orleans. She is the eldest sister of King Ferdinand I of Bulgaria and is also related, through her father, to the royal families of Belgium, Portugal and the United Kingdom, while she is descended, through her mother, from the French King Louis-Philippe I. On May 12, 1864, the Princess married Archduke Joseph of Habsburg-Lorraine, Count Palatine of Hungary, son of Archduke Joseph Antoine of Habsburg-Lorraine, Count Palatine of Hungary, and his third wife Princess Dorothea of Württemberg. - Letter A.S. written in VIENNA on November 20, 1893 addressed to a Baron, concerning the sale of his domain.
