SURREALISM - [André BRETON] / "Suite Princière", tract (1 p in-4 on beautiful green laid paper) published in small number on November 15, 1960 signed by André Breton, Francis Ponge, Giuseppe Ungaretti, Julien Gracq, Pierre Jean Jouve, of André Pieyre de Mandiargues, Philippe Soupault and Jean Paulhan, relating to the election of prince of the poets of which Saint John Perse had just refused the title Saint-John Perse withdrew, and it received moreover the Nobel Prize; Cocteau accepted, but his "election" is not recognized by all, and the surrealists in particular see it as a kind of usurpation, as for Breton, who according to the count presented here appears as a challenger, he withdraws officially from a race in which he never explicitly admitted to have participated...
