REGICIDE - Giuseppe FIESCHI (1790-1836, Corsican conspirator, author on July 28, 1835 of an attempt against Louis-Philippe and the Royal Family with the "infernal machine", the King and his family were saved but there were 18 dead, among them Marshal Mortier and 43 wounded, he himself was wounded, he was condemned to death and guillotined on February 19, 1836) / Autograph manuscript signed in prison, of a declaration (confused) that he entitled in Corsican "Questa e la mia devisa" ("This is my motto") - The manuscript itself (13,5 x 11 cm) was meticulously set at the time in a sheet of laid paper (a photo taken on a light table allows to visualize this work), annotation of another hand, one of his lawyers? ("Fragment written by Fieschi in his prison"): "One has a lot to read to become a scholar: But to form one's taste, it is necessary to read little well to read because before the judgement is mature, the multitude of the authors can only produce a confusion of ideas which one never cures, and which even by report with the taste is not worth the ignorance accompanied by the common sense ".
