Rugby/Dopinge/Bordeaux. Superb little cardboard advertising panel, "vide-poche" version, with interior hanging rings: "BEC-KINA, apéritif des Sportifs, grands vins de Bourgogne, Vins fins et spiritueux, Spécialités de Portos et Madères, Ets A.Delmas et fils...". This interior lithograph takes us back to a time when Bordeaux, along with SBUC, SAB and BEC, was the capital of provincial rugby, in direct competition with Paris. We wouldn't go so far as to say, as Francis Gonzalez does, that a glassful of Bec-Kina had something to do with it, but then again, M.Delmas had played football-rugby at the highest level, and in particular with BEC (his club of heart) and SAB, and a corner kick, with or without a bottle, he knew what it was. 40X30.
