ZENITH Barometer Brass barometer, white dial (with patina), black-painted Arabic numerals and time indication (in German), arrowhead pointer, crown at 6 o'clock for pointing an arrow around the dial. Case and dial signed. Diameter: 15 cm Condition report: Good overall condition, wear scratches and patina on case, glass broken at 7 o'clock, no guarantee of functioning over time, a service recommended. Expert's note Joël Duval notes on his ZenitHistoric website that barometers and altimeters, initially intended for the military, were offered from the 1910s onwards to compensate for declining watch sales and to keep Zenith workers employed. From the 1930s onwards, this measuring equipment disappeared from the manufacturer's catalog, despite having enjoyed international success.
