INDRE. 1455. Parchment, in the name of Charles IV d'ANJOU, Comte du Maine, Comte de Guise (1414-1472), Vicomte de Châtellerault and Seigneur de Mazières en Brenne (Indre), Lieutenant and Governor for the King in his countries of Languedoc and Duchy of Guyenne. Further to the request of the Abbot, Religious, and Convent of the Abbey of SAINT-CYRAN-EN-BRENNE (located in Saint-Michel-en-Brenne, Indre), he cedes, relinquishes for us and our successors, lands at the place called Buvet near our town of the said Mazières, and will have them rewarded with the said reward and extent to the order of our beloved Councillor Guillaume Boyer Governor of our Town of Châtellerault and our Seigneury of Mazières. Given in our châtel at Mazières (at Tendu in Indre or at Mézières-en-Brenne in Indre?) on October 12, 1455.
