RELICS - Jean-Marie VIANNEY Curé d'ARS (1786-1859) / Reliquary : coaster containing fragments of cloth, fabric and silk cords from Jean-Marie Vianney's vestments in a gilded frame (11 x 16 cm), these relics are certified on the back by Abbé Claude Rougemont, who signed and affixed 2 red wax seals bound with silk thread on January 15, 1878 (Jean-Marie Vianney Curé d'Ars in the Ain was declared Venerable in 1872, beatified in 1905, canonized in 1925 and declared Patron Saint of all parish priests in the Universe in 1929 - Abbé Rougemont was vicar of Ars after Vianney's death, and played an active role in the recognition of his predecessor's sanctity) / Joint : Relic on strong paper of a "parcel of linen of the Servant of God Jean-Marie Vianney Curé d'Ars", attested by Father Antoine Martin on July 23, 1866, who sealed it with his wax seal.
