ALSACE / Rare set of 21 original XIX° photographs of Alsatian women in traditional costume with the famous headdress - Most are by photographers Samuel GERSCHEL dit l'Aîné (1828-1898) in Strasbourg (56 rue du Jeu des Enfants then rue du Noyer) and his brother Mathias GERSCHEL (1830-1893) in Strasbourg (3 rue de la Mésange) - In cabinet format (10.5 x 16.5 cm): 2 by Samuel Gerschel Aîné and 1 by Louis Frohwein in Strasbourg (7 Gutenbergplatz) - In business card format (6 x 10.5 cm) : 11 from Samuel Gerschel Aîné, 3 from Mathias Gerschel, 1 from Tannenzapfen in Strrabourg (7 Klerberplatz), 1 from Josef Dentel in Strasbourg (56 Kinderspiegelgasse, successor to Samuel Gerschel Aîné), 1 from Jules Fuchs in Strasbourg (6 rue des Ecrivains) and 1 from Wilhelm Seiler in Königsfeld.
