EGYPTE - PHILATELIE / "L'Egypte des Pharaons et le Timbre-Poste" by Fernand BISSON DE LA ROQUE (Directeur des fouilles pour les Musées Nationaux en Egypte), Hélio-Gravure Editeur, Paris, 1950, hors commerce copy on rives (watermark), unjustified (we know that the edition was composed of 15 copies on rives and 500 numbered press copies), introduction by the editor L-Marcel Fortin (vii), 101 p (including preface), lexicon (k) plus tables, presented in sheets, in soft cover, in soft dust jacket, in full olive velvet hard cover (spine missing, 2 covers remaining) and in full olive velvet hard slipcase (26 x 33 x 4 cm, a little faded), the preface by M. Sami Gabra (Director of the Institute of Egyptology) has been printed in Arabic and Western characters, with 12 hors-texte plates (under double serpents) in sepia heliogravure with the corresponding stamp engraved by Jules PIEL (Grand Prix de Rome), a copy enriched by an original color lithograph signed in pencil by Jules PIEL depicting the famous bust of Nifertiti, as well as headbands, lettering and lamp-ends (woodcuts by M. Rolland). Rolland), the photographs used for the rotogravure illustrations are by Lehnert and Landrock - Generally in good condition, with 2 repaired tears on the dust jacket and 2 small freckles on the cover.
