Marie de HEREDIA (1875-1963, woman of letters under the pseu - Lot 260
Marie de HEREDIA (1875-1963, woman of letters under the pseudonym Gérard d'Houville, daughter of Jose-Maria de Heredia, wife of Henri de Régnier, Belle-Epoque personality with a troubled life) / Autograph manuscript signed "Gérard d'Houville", with erasures and corrections, of a column entitled "Fleurs et gens d'automne", 3 p in-fol (23 x 35 cm) : she reports on the autumn flower show from the point of view of the observer of the public that flocks to it, resulting in tasty (and sensual) portraits, thus on the admirers of roses: "Certainly ladies love roses, but they don't look at them with the same intensity as men, especially aging men, who have nothing to fear from these beauties, neither disdain nor infidel crises", "old gentlemen who from afar look correct and disillusioned are thus surprised in their last ardors or their supreme tenderness in front of these harems of graces half-open or madly opened, with nuances, with perfumes at the same time different and similar, family of delights, multicolored virgins offered to the temptation, to the intoxication of the fascinated amateur".
