SOLIDO - France (1) - Lot 131
SOLIDO - France (1) EXCEPTIONAL Réf 304 BERNARD TDA ANCIENNE COLLECTION CHARBONNEAUX Announced as one of the first new models in 1963, Ref. 304 continues the Solido heavyweight series. The "television" cab of the Bernard TD1 160/180 was designed by Philippe Charbonneaux. This Bernard is available in 1/50 scale with a van in the colors of the Bel cheese dairies (La Vache Qui Rit), or unmarked in the PL4 box set. The exceptional piece on offer is marked "Etude esthétique de Ph. Charbonneaux" (Aesthetic study by Ph. Charbonneaux). A close friend of Jean de Vazeilles, head of Solido between 1955 and 1978, the famous French stylist designed an original "frigo"-style van especially for the Solido miniature out of friendship with de Vazeilles. Caisse NEVER REALIZED AT SCALE 1! Vazeilles offered a few examples, thus identified, to his stylist friend. The present piece comes from this highly confidential series, authenticated by Philippe's son Hervé Charbonneaux. One of the photos illustrating this lot reveals the 2 examples in his collection, the red and light gray one and another entirely gilded. Rose-red cab, very light gray body, specific sticker on gold background on 2 sides. Very good condition (one pinhead on a corner of the van). A protective case from the Tonergam Solido series is included. A" cab body B /-"
