INVICTA - Spain (1) - Lot 401
INVICTA - Spain (1) RARISSIME INVICTA-Enrique KELLER S.A., based in the Basque town of Zarautz, west of San Sebastian, was well known in Spain in the late '40s for its radio and TV sets. In 1957-1958, it produced a small range of 1/43 zamac miniatures. This confidential series of 6 models was soon discontinued. According to 2960 and Thierry Redempt, co-authors of an article on this brand published in 2010 in the now defunct "Passion 43e" magazine, "INVICTAs are currently the rarest miniatures marketed in Europe in the 1950s". - MERCEDES 300 SL. You'd think this was a copy of QUIRALU... But this is not the case, as there are numerous differences in dimensions and moulding details. Putting them side by side is like playing the game of 7 errors! Chestnut grey, silver anodized base (traces of oxidation), white notched tires (dry and deformed) on turned aluminum rims. Rather rough original casting, especially on the wheel arches. White front and rear license plates. Very good original condition (apart from tires). A/- An identically reproduced box is included, illustrated with numerous technical details.
