DINKY TOYS - France (1) VERY RARE CITROËN 2 CV "BB LORRAIN" VAN Dinky Toys collectors already know in detail the history of this legendary model. 100 examples were produced in 1958, and another 100 in 1959, on the initiative of Mr. Roger GOULON, manager of the Lyon store "Au Bébé Lorrain", which he ran with his wife. On the store's letterhead, he introduced himself as "Agent régional du Club Dinky Toys, première section de France". The couple themselves affixed the famous and coveted yellow adhesive tape to the sides of the van, bearing the words "Club Dinky-Toys, BB Lorrain, 8 rue du Platre, Lyon". This tape was also used to wrap parcels... This exceptional Dinky is a "Code 2", painted at the Bobigny factory, then decorated later. Ref 25 D. Medium gray with cream rims. The aforementioned "house" adhesive tapes glued to both sides of the van. Complete, with the stigmata of time... Model in very good condition, small chip on edge of right fender, 2 micro pinheads on other, "F" decal added to rear. Original box complete with 2 "BB Lorrain" decals on each side, no "Special" sticker. 2.5 cm tear on one flap, traces of label torn off on one side. C+/c+ Enclosed is a photocopy of a letter sent to a customer by Mr. Goulon on January 22, 1960, and a photocopy of an invitation to a meeting of the Dinky Toys Club on October 12, 1958.
